The STEP Method

Common core Social Studies requires students to  use problem solving strategies to solve social science questions. A good learning strategy, students can use is the STEP strategy. In the STEP strategy students 1) Say the problem, 2) Think of a solution, 3) explore Consequences and 4) Pick the best Solution. In using this strategy the students must reread the social studies assignment so they  will have the evidence to prove their solution.
